All those cakes look delicious, although i've eaten too much cake post Christmas!
I'd love to do the trans-siberian railway one day, I hope your plans work out. I'd love to see your pictures if they do. Where in North America would you like to go?
Probably the Midwest? Chicago area mostly. I want to do the trans-siberian railway too! I have proper Russian lessons now and our tutor talks about it quite a lot - it sounds amazing.
How are things with you? did you have a lovely Christmas?
I liked Chicago a lot, with Lake Michigan and the architecture, also the free evening entertainment they had on in the city. There was like three places every night with either live music or film showing outside. I went all around by public transport really easily, Pilsen for Mexican arts. It was very much the kind of city I like.
I never realised until a few weeks ago there were so many different time zones in Russia. And I thought it was intriguing in Austalia and North America, especially the rules on daylight saving and where enforces it and when!
Firstly - and this doesn't actually relate to this at all - are you free on Tuesday? Do you know when Steph is free? I am a terrible planner/plannist and fear that we are running out of time and that she will be busy with that pesky school of hers.
Secondly, I did not know that you like Ingrid Michaelson, which is awesome because I do too. That's a fun fact for you.
Thirdly, your cupcakes are always AWESOME.
Fourthly, who is getting married in August? Is it Steph? Did she choose a date and tell you? I know nothing and don't like not being in the loop.
Fifthly, I believe you are mad smart and will go to Imperial so we can hang out more often. And because London is occasionally awesome. And I'm sure there'll be some Russians there that you can converse with. Or just eavedrop on while they are oblivious to your Russian credentials.
I'm not free tomorrow :( I calculated the number of minutes I have until my first exam today. Not good. Can we do it when I'm back? Or you and Steph can go without me and I'll come see you after exams?
I want to go to Imperial SO much. I'll be close to home and you can come visit me and we can go to museums and have as much Starbucks as possible.
Yeppers - Pretty sure Steph's getting married in August - 13th I think. I didn't know whether to say anything about it because I don't know if she's planning on making some announcement or anything. I don't want to ruin it for her!
It was a longshot anyway. Steph will be all busy with school what with it being a school night and the beginning of term and all. But you best be hurrying back to the shire. There's no Starbucks here and no people and its shite in general. So you should be here too.
I shall pencil the 13th down as possible Mrs Steph day. If she could decide to announce it before the end of January twould be marvellous though since I'm buying a plane ticket to Idaho for sometime in August (Tat is having a baby and I get to be Auntie Jude. I am super excited).
You go get with that revising. And if you feel like making me some shortbread and sending it my direction I shall not complain. Purely for scientific helping-you-to-revise reasons, obviously.
Amazing cakes Hannah! There's a career for you right there if Imperial don't come through for you (though they're fools if they don't!) I don't like cake either but like looking at pretty cakes, and these are very pretty!

I would love to own a bakery. My brother's fiancee loves baking too and he suggested we start one when both inevitably fail at life :)
