omfg THANK YOU! I know it's not the thrust of your post, but that's the biggest thing bugging me about all of this at the moment.
I often wonder how much of this conflict between Muslim/Not Muslim is purely a product of the press.
Hmmm...I never thought about that possibility, though I can see it (as well as a connection to homophobia).
It sounds bad, but I don't know how much I want to explore it because it my ruin the amusement of the whole thing for me. But knowing me, I probably won't be able to resist.
Got any good sources you can share? Otherwise I can of course do my own research...It's just that you have knack for coming up with interesting reads on these sorts of topics.
Btw, even though I'm sorry your initial FB break was drama related, I just have to say that I'm glad to see you one LJ more. I think both of us do better when we're not confined by character limits. :)
