Well, despite the sickness around in the Hufflepuff Commonroom, I am trying to remain focused and positive.
Eloise has been an absolute Godsend the last week, helping look after the sick Sixth Years with aptitude and confidence, while I've been trooping some of the wilting first, second and third years off to Madam Pomfrey and her much-appreciated Pepper-Up Potion.
But I think that we're over the worst of it now. I hope.
Spirits were lifted in the house ranks this weekend with the much-anticipated Quidditch game (I think), by a brave attempt at the Gryffindors defence. Well done to both the Hufflepuffs and the Gryffindors alike for an excellent game played, or at least, for the parts I saw of it anyway - I was hiding in Alexander's shoulder for most of the game (you are all braver than me and the flying...defies me beyond belief).
A letter from my mother today: wanting to know if I preferred staying at school over Christmas, or coming home and helping look after my cousins Tim and Will. So, it looks like I'm staying for the holidays - there's nothing that could convince me to look after the "horrors". My mother is irrepressible though, it's not even September and she's already organising Christmas!
I just pray that it's not inherited. *shudder*
