You may not be a terrible person. A careful reading of the room service blurb in the Hotel Monaco's service guide (yes, some people really do read that little binder on the desk in hotel rooms; I am a tech writer, I read all print collateral, I can't help it, shut up) revealed that an 18% tip was automatically added to ALL room service orders. That's why the burger that costs you an unreasonable $12 in the hotel restaurant costs an even less reasonable $15 when it's brought to your room. So you were probably overtipping the rest of the time. You're awesome again!
huh...I'm guessing that was not the case at the Imperial Palace (at least it wasn't in the printed materials...I also read them...of course.) Which reminds me that i owe Colleen & Holly a few bucks because i was out o' cash that last night.
Yeah. I'd feel terrible too! Not that it's a terrible thing. But I might put a few dollars in an envelope and mail it along. WHo knows if it would ever reach the intended though.
