Okay, so I'm doing it: The "Shut Up, Proust!" blog is just one rainy lunch break away from taking form. Question: Does anyone have any experience with the various free blogging sites? Blogsome? Blogger? Are any better than the others? This is all new territory for me.

Why don't you just start another LJ site? This is a "free blogging site" too!

I agree! It would be much easier for me, say, to add your new Proustian journal as a friend here then trying to remember to go to another site to see your stuff.

I guess I've always thought of LJ as a more "personal" or social site; none of the more thematic, official-type blogs I've read have been on LJ.

I agree. I'd use blogger, I think.

I just started one and looked around. I liked blogger the best. Really easy to use.
