For years, I've had my clock-radio set to NPR.
Then, a couple days ago, I woke to this:
...tied their hands behind their backs and shot each girl in the back of the head at point-blank range...
I don't think I can do another morning like that. What do you wake up to in the morning? Rock music? Classical? Plain ol' beeps?

but seriously folks, I'm vary 'tween the npr & 91ish classical, or 92Q, but in the winter, when the daylight no longer suffices I very much enjoy the gentle wakey blinkylight of my Big Ben Moonbeam (with followup alarm). It really works and is not nearly as ugly & 'spensive as The New Age Clocks ! Now mind you, the vintage one has a cranky 50 yr-old earsplitting bell, but the new repro should be a little kinder & gentler. Plus it has a snooze! I've been meaning to buy one to relegate the ancient to the guest wing at Ho Manor. You like? I have a shopping cart open.... ;> Then there's the radio version!!

Classical, though, might be a nice change.
