omg this is so cute!! i really enjoyed the lengths that sam went to in order to fix it. it was SO sweet and really in-character, surprisingly. i really liked that melinda taught Sam how to sew instead of just fixing the giraffe herself -- it made sam's efforts even more endearing. anyways, thanks so much for writing this! it was so lovely aaahhh xxx

thanks! the part with the sewing came off a little rushed, but considering I can't sew for shit (and failed home ec, hah!) I kind of glossed over that bit. I thought it would be sweeter if Sam sewed it herself, and I set out from the beginning for Cat to not mind so much. Sam going to all that effort only to discover it wasn't a huge deal was amusing. (Although had Mr. Purple remained headless I think that would have been a pretty big deal.)
