Slowly getting adjusted to life in japan now as jetlag is starting to wear off and places to obtain food are found. Everything is going even better than expected and Im having a great time

The good news about Japanese is you only have to know around 1000 kanji to be effective, not all 1,946! Though I seem to consantly run into Kanji that aren't part of that -_-;
well its not very easy for a white boi who only knew 2-3 random hiragana to suddenly know 25 overnight :S the worst part is the ADHD bangladeshi sitting in the front row >_>
That would have been my suggestion also. Mandarake or the uber gigantic kinokuniya that's near shibuya station. (I think it's shibuya. Maybe it's shinjuku.)
