Leverage Fanvid: Demons (Eliot Spencer)

Sep 06, 2012 15:29

As promised, here's the Eliot vid I've been working on. I've been trying to teach myself Final Cut, which allows a lot finer control than iMovie, and this is the sample vid I made to practice some of the basic techniques.

OMG! Seriously, this is brilliant!!! I absolutely love it. And it makes me itch to make another vid...but I don't have time at all for that now. Maybe when the heist is over!

Is FinalCut freeware?

Yay, I'm so glad you liked it! Vidding is so addictive, but also SOOOOOO time consuming. I go through phases where I want to do it all the time, followed by phases where I can't stand to have anything to do with it.

Final Cut isn't free (although it's still cheaper than a full version of Photoshop). But you can download it and use it free for 30 days, which is what I did.

It's professional editing software and does so much stuff that I haven't even begun to figure out yet. I really need to delve deeper because I suspect I'm doing some stuff the hard way that I could streamline. Funnily, when I went to the Apple site to look into it, the main page had a big piece about how it's the software they use to edit Leverage: http://www.apple.com/finalcutpro/in-action/electric/

Oh, wow, this is fabulous! That song is Eliot!

I am seriously in awe of people who can vid. Alas, I seem only fit for fic, lol.

Thanks, hon! As soon as I heard it I knew I had to use it for an Eliot vid. Imagine Dragons has another song that's perfect for him, too, but I don't have the imagination to make two Eliot vids in a row.
