Every silver lining has a cloud

The day began well enough with the most irritating person I work with resigning.
The day ended with the doc giving me a prescription for three cortisone epidurals.

Oh deep joy

Have you had them before? If not:
1. It's not nearly as bad as it sounds
2. Don't let them send you home without something for pain and muscle relaxers, just in case, and how you feel after it's over is not necessarily indicative of anything -if you're gonna have any boomerang pain from it, it'll peak the next day.
3. If you're afraid of needles, tell them to give you a prescription for some valium.

But really, it's not as bad as it sounds.

In my mind I put the two together, causally:

1. You went in to work, wrenched a leg from a nearby conference table or worker and beat the irritating person across the face with it, all while screaming "Don't you think it's time you moved on? HUH? DON'T YOU?!"

2. The target collapsed into a puddle of agreement.

3. You whipped out the necessary paperwork and had said target sign it.

4. On the way out the door you did a post-violence victory dance, and while your back was turned the target smashed you over it with a copier.

That would at least make for an eye popping explanation. Alas the reason is far more mundane, there are bone spurs inside a couple of my lower vertebrae pressing against the spinal column.

Tried steroids, that helped some. Trying cortison to see how that helps. And last and by all means least they go in and take the bone spurs out.

On the plus side the scar may be a good excuse to get a tattoo
