Back in Dave's rugby playing days, being a large, imposing looking young lad, he would occasionally pick up part time jobs doing security at big venues like Earl's Court or Wembley Arena.

( Now some they do, and some they don't, and some you just can't tell... )

That was Dave, wasn't it? He could calmly stand his ground where others might have gotten an overblown sense of themselves. Wonderful story!

I think with anyone else, or probably with another band, it might have degenerated into "don't you know who I am??" But the queue-standing social compact kind of kicked in, I think - they couldn't truly get bent out of shape, because they *didn't* have the right pass. :)
