Today is a big day for Ueda Tatsuya. Of course it is, it’s the day he turns 25 years old, and he have been planning to spend it with his boyfriend and friends but unfortunately for him, today is the day all of them are busy.
Firstly, Nishikido Ryo, the most important person in his life. His boyfriend, his lover, his other soul, well his everything. You would think that this important person to Ueda Tatsuya will be with him on his birthday, right. WRONG! Because currently, this so-called the love of Tatsuya’s life is in Osaka, with his other group for their current project.
Then, his friends. Let us start with the K of KAT TUN, Kamenashi Kazuya. Well, it’s not his fault that he is busy on that day. After all, he is caring and never forgets about Tatsuya’s birthday. It just that he is a very hardworking. He loves his job so much and because of that, he can’t celebrate Tatsuya’s birthday because of other commitment. *sigh*
Then, let’s talk about Akanishi Jin, the A of his group, the one who like to tease, the one they calls Bakanishi, and the one who is so sexy when he’s dancing. Well, it’s not his fault that he had been planning for month to go to the hot spring with his best friend. After all, they didn’t have the same schedule and the same off day. And when they did have the same off day, unfortunately it happens to be on the 4th of October. And of course Tatsuya just didn’t have a heart to disrupt their plan just because it’s his birthday. So, he tells Jin to go on with his plan to visit the hot spring, telling him that he will be ok. That he still have Junno, Koki and Nakamaru.
But most unfortunate for our favorite hime, oops, let me rephrase that, Ryo’s favorite hime, is that Junno actually have to film his new drama on the same day. That’s not all; it’s appearing that Junno won’t be in Tokyo because the scene is out of Tokyo which is unknown to any of them.
So now he could only hope to spend it with another two of his band mates, Koki and Nakamaru, only to find that he can’t contact either of them. First, he tried calling Koki and there is no answer. Then when he proceeds to call Nakamaru, he only manages to get into Nakamaru’s mailbox.
After trying calling them for the tenth time, Tatsuya finally give up. Now, he is all alone in his apartment without anyone else to celebrate his birthday with.

Tatsuya sighs sadly. Here he is all alone without anyone to celebrate his birthday. And the saddest thing is that he is alone in his apartment. Even though he gets messages wishing him happy birthday but he can’t help but wanting to celebrate his special day with people he loves, especially Ryo. He sits by his piano, playing the birthday song to himself. Without notice, a lone tear fall down by his cheek.
Suddenly he hears pounding at his front door. Quickly he rises from his sits. Noticing the trails of tears on his check, he quickly washes his face before opening the door. When he opens it, he sees Jin and Yamapi standing there with a panic look on their face.
“Jin, Pi, what are you two doing here? I thought the two of you are going to the hot spring together.” Tatsuya asks.
“We were but then I remember that today is your birthday and I told Pi about it, and we decided to celebrate it with you. On the way back, we stop at Osaka to see Ryo and Subaru told us that he is already on his way to come back here. And when we finally reach here, we got a call telling that…that…” By this time, Jin’s eyes are full with tears.
“What Jin? What did it tells you?” Although he wants to know, but somehow Tatsuya is dreading to hears it. Seeing that his best friend doesn’t manage to finish the sentence, Yamapi decides to do it for him.
“They told us that Ryo-chan…Ryo-chan meets with an accident. Then, we hurriedly come here, to get you, to take you to Ryo-chan.” Yamapi says, his voice a bit crack.
“WHAT! No, please tell me that you’re just lying.” But even Tatsuya can’t believe that it’s just a lie because both Jin and Yamapi’s eyes are full with unshed tears.
Sinking on the floor, Tatsuya covers his mouth, trying to hold back his sob. Jin slide down beside him then putting his arms around Tatsuya’s shoulder to console him and trying to get him on his feet. “Come Tatchan. Why don’t we go to him?” Jin says. Tatsuya just nods weakly, his tears still streaming down his cheeks.
The three of them get into Jin’s car. Both Yamapi and Jin sit on the front while Tatsuya sits by the window at the backseat. His mind right now is fills with the memories he had with Ryo. The good and the bad, but mostly the thought of how much he loves Ryo and he can’t bear to lose him. Somehow, today the day has turn from lousy to the worst. And he keeps on praying and hoping that Ryo is going to be fine as the car set off to its destination.

“SURPRISE!!!!”
Tatsuya looks in surprise to see all of his friends are in the room that Yamapi and Jin bring him. Not only that, almost all Jonhny’s there. Wait, wasn’t we supposed to see Ryo? Why did they bring me here? Why are they all here? Tatsuya questions himself. Suddenly he feels hand snakes around his waist.
“Happy birthday Hime.” The husky voice whispers in his ear. He turns to look at the owner of the voice. “RYO!” He exclaims. “But, but..Jin and Pi said that you were involved in accident. I thought I was going to lose you.” He continues, looking at Ryo with tearful eyes.
Ryo just smile at his hime, happy to hear the concern Tatsuya held for him. “I’m ok, hime. It’s just a little accident, nothing life threatening. Look, I’m not even hurt, ok maybe just scratches but nothing serious.” Ryo assures him. Hearing that, Tatsuya sigh in relief. Then he turns to glare at both Jin and Yamapi for scaring him.
“Now, now Tat-chan, don’t be mad at us. We just want to surprise you. If we said we want to take you to someplace, you will suspect about the surprise party. It’s the only way we can take you here without you suspecting anything.” Jin says, backing out with Yamapi when both of them receive a glare from Tatsuya.
“I don’t know whether to be mad at both of you for lying like that to me, or to be happy for this surprise party.” Tatsuya says a glare still in place. “Well, I think the latter one is the better. Ah, I think I heard Kazuya calling us. Come on Jin.” Yamapi says as he pulls Jin into the crowd of people, trying to get away from Tatsuya’s wrath.
“Don’t get mad at them. They just want to surprise you without you suspecting anything. Besides, they are the one who organize the whole party. They are the one who manage to get everyone to be here.” Ryo says, trying to coax his lover into forgiving his best friends. Tatsuya just sigh in resignation, hearing what Jin and Yamapi had done for him.
“Come, let’s enjoy your party.” Ryo says, pulling Tatsuya to mingle with the rest of their friends and colleagues

Tatsuya is standing in his balcony, watching the stars. Today turn out to be the best day of his life. Although it’s start with a lousy one, but Jin and Yamapi plans turn it into the best one. But most importantly, he gets to spend it with Ryo.
“What are you looking at, hime?” Ryo asks as he hugs his love from behind. Tatsuya smiles, taking the warmth from Ryo’s body press close to him.
“Just the stars. It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” Tatsuya says, eyes still train on the stars above. “To me, you’re more beautiful than the stars.” Ryo whispers in his lover’s ear. Tatsuya blush when he hears the affectionate tones in Ryo’s voice.
“I still haven’t given you your present yet, aren’t I?” Ryo says, putting his chin on Tatsuya’s shoulder, holding the beautiful man tightly.
“You’re here with me on my birthday is a good enough present for me.” Tatsuya says as he wraps his hands on Ryo’s.
“But not for me. Close your eyes. I want it to be a surprise.” Tatsuya just follows his boyfriend request and close his eyes. When he opens it, he feels something against his neck. Looking down, he sees a white gold necklace with a single ring attach to it. And inside the ring there’s a description.
Loving u forever.
Tatsuya looks inquiringly at Ryo. Ryo smiles at Tatsuya’s questioning gazes. “This is my promise to you, love. I promise to love you forever. And if you miss me, or thinking of me just remembers that I’m always with you because this ring represents my love to you.” Ryo’s explains. Tatsuya’s gets teary and touch by Ryo’s words.
“Thank you. I love it. I love you.” And Tatsuya captures Ryo lips into a kiss.
