Everyone knows that Ueda Tatsuya can’t draw. His drawing is usually a disaster. That’s actually Koki’s department, because in KAT TUN, he’s the only one who can draw and has talent in drawing. But one thing they doesn’t know about Ueda Tatsuya is that he can paint and he paints beautifully. He loves playing with colors and he really has a good taste in coordinating and mixing the colors. His painting is just as beautiful as his music.
Usually he paints what he is feeling. But lately, his paintings resolve around a certain sexy Osakan Man. At first it is always black, pale blue and red as he is always sad and angry when Ryo insults him and mocks him. And sometimes he will use beige, when he is feeling lonely because Ryo is in Osaka. And the other time, his painting will become green when he’s feeling envy or jealous at Ryo’s relationship towards his friends as he laughs with his friends, seeming not caring for anything in the world. Sometime Tatsuya wonders, why he and Ryo can’t have a relationship like that. Why can’t they be friends? What had he done to make the younger man dislike him, always mock and insult him?
Tatsuya sighs as he finishes his newest painting. Since he had used all his canvas, he paints his latest creation onto a drawing pad, using crayon. While he prefers using water color or oil painting but since he is in his dressing room at the Jimusho, he settles by using crayon. Besides, it’s not like he can bring his equipment to work and he certainly doesn’t want anyone to know that he can paint. To him, painting is just a hobby. Not like boxing or music which is his passion.
Then, his phone suddenly rings. Hastily, he puts his drawing pad on the desk to answer the phone. It turns out to be the manager, who told him that they had to reschedule their photo shoot that suppose to be the next day into that day. Seeing that he did not bring his car to work that day, he groans before quickly get up and walks out of the room, the drawing pad lays on the desk, forgotten.

Tatsuya is searching franticly for his drawing pad. Suddenly he remembers that he left it on his desk at the dressing room in Jimusho. He groans when he realizes that. But he can’t just ignore it so he decided to go back to the Jimusho to retrieve his drawing pad back.
Knowing that most of the staff or artists of the Jimusho has left the building make Tatsuya a bit surprise when he sees that the light KAT TUN dressing room is still on. When he went in the room, he sees no one, so he concludes that perhaps the manager or the janitor forgot to turn off the light. But when he went to his desk to retrieves his drawing pad, he can’t find it. He search all over the place but still can’t find it. After almost an hour of searching and still not finding the pad, he decided to go home to get his rest. Perhaps I could search for it tomorrow, he said to himself.

The next day, he searches for his drawing pad again. Since he is always the one who arrives at the Jimusho first, so he didn’t worry about if the other sees his painting or not. He is sure that no one will be interested anyway in his painting. But still, after searching for half and hour, he still didn’t find his pad. Where could that be, he asks himself. After all he was the last one in the room yesterday, since all the members have already went to the shooting place from their home. And it’s not like they come back here, right? He asks himself. He was sure that they didn’t since all of them were engaged with other commitment after the photo shoot. Tatsuya sighs to himself, thinking about the lost drawing pad.
Suddenly he feels sad. He has lost one of his precious things. He has been pouring his heart and soul in the painting in the drawing pad. All his thought, the feeling he was feeling around his band mates, his friends. The feeling he feels around him, all are in that. And now he has lost it. He feels like he has lost a piece of his soul.
“What are you doing, donkey face?” Suddenly he hears familiar voice from the doorway. And there is only one person who calls him donkey face anyway. “That’s none of your business, midget. Go away.” Tatsuya says.
“I try to be nice and this is what I get.” Ryo says. “Yeah, like calling other people names is so nice to begin with. What do you want anyway? I thought NEWS is at the other hall.” Tatsuya asks, irritates with Ryo suddenly intrusion.
‘Well, you see. Yesterday I came here to find Jin but you guys were not here. But instead I found this. Hmm, I wonder who the pad belongs to.” Ryo says as he pulls out the drawing pad from behind him. Tatsuya eyes widen. “My drawing pad!” He exclaims as he rushes towards Ryo.
“Not so fast, fishlip. I will give you this back but with conditions.” Ryo says as he waves the drawing pad in front of Tatsuya. Tatsuya tries to reach for it but Ryo is faster and hid it behind him. Tatsuya sighs in defeat. “Fine, what it is?”
“First, you are going to treat me dinner tonight at the new restaurant down the street.” Ryo says. Tatsuya nodded in agreement. That’s no problem for him anyway. He treats his friends all the time.
“And secondly, you are going to show me all of your work.” Ryo continues. “WHAT! No way.” Tatsuya protests. “Well, it’s that or you won’t get this back.” Ryo exclaims. “Fine!” Tatsuya finally says. He holds out his hand for his drawing pad, but Ryo has another idea.
“I’ll give you back after I see all of your work tonight, ne.” Ryo says smiling as he walks away. Tatsuya could only sighs in defeat and thinks what exactly he has agreed on.
That night both Tatsuya and Ryo went to the new restaurant. Surprisingly, Tatsuya has a good time with Ryo, once he pushes aside the need of killing the younger man. The younger man is actually fun to talk too, well, aside from his sharp tongue of course. Ryo is not exactly Ryo if without his sharp tongue.
Later, Tatsuya brings Ryo up to his apartment and show Ryo one of the room that he has turns to his personal studio. Usually, he keeps the room locks when ever his band mates come to his apartment.
“Well, this is my studio. As you can see, all my works is here. Now, can I have my drawing pad back?” Tatsuya explains. Meanwhile, Ryo looks around the room in amazement. Who would have thought Hime has such a talent, he thought to himself. Of course he didn’t tell Tatsuya that he has been calling him Hime in his mind anyway. Then he went to one of Tatsuya’s latest works, which incidentally, is about him.
“Why is it this painting has a very sad feeling to it?” He asks Tatsuya. Tatsuya is quite startled at the question. “Because I was feeling down when I create that one.” Tatsuya answers. “Why?” Ryo asks again. Tatsuya glares at Ryo. What should I say Ryo, because you make me feel sad that day, Tatsuya thought. “That’s none of your business!” Tatsuya answers to him.
After almost an hour of lurking and pondering at the paintings, Ryo feel that he should probably go home. So, he gives Tatsuya his drawing pad back. “Here, your drawing pad. Thanks for letting me see your works. It’s very good, you know.” Ryo says when he is at the door.
“Yeah, right.” Tatsuya says with tones of disbelief. “Hey, I’m telling the truth. It’s really good. You have the talent, you know.” Ryo compliment him. Tatsuya blushes when he realizes that Ryo is really complimenting him.
“I should go now. See you later, ne. Ja.” Ryo says as he walks out of the apartment. Tatsuya closes the door with mix feeling. Suddenly he gets an inspiration for his next painting. He is so glad that he bought a new canvas yesterday. He walks to his studio, whistling his favorite song, smiling all the way.
The End.
