Space Ghost and I both survived yesterday intact, although he had a bit of a weird rash on his tummy until I hosed him with with cortisone. I think I might've hit a turning point, emotionally speaking. Not to say that I've changed my mind and suddenly want contact with him now or, you know, FUCKING EVER, but last time was the first time that I

Heh - I knew that was going to be the biggest thing that I'd have to talk about, in doing commentary for Skinnybone. It'll be answered to the best of my ability, most definitely. But see, now I want to know what YOUR ideas are :D.

I think that's a really good idea, and it makes perfect sense to me :D.

I just love those stories a lot. I don't *have* questions, because they're *perfect*! Perfect!
*grins at you*

I'm not sure if it will be posted, actually, or if it'll just turn up in print. I guess it'll depend on whether this ends up being a project for charity, or what.

Um...i don't think i'm teasing.
:)
In print? What does that mean, exactly?

We're working together on the arrangements - I'm deferring to her judgment on these sorts of things - but I guess the DVD commentary/secret story would either be posted after the sale, or it would pend on the buyer's approval. Make more sense?
Go eat, silly!!

Knuckles, yeah, the title, the kiss, and there were a couple of places I went "huh?" but that might have been because I have only ever *listened* to it, and not read it. I will read it forthwith.
And any excuse to read the Miner's Lamp series again... :D

Oh dude, that recording :D. I love it love it love it. Now, whenever I read a story, that's Dean's voice. Something about her accent just totally works for me. It was just the coolest thing, hearing it all read out loud :D. (I have the worst urge to go and, like, beg for more podfics. But that's a serious commitment of time.)
Heehe! **blush** Thank you! And hey, please do let me know if you remember any specific "huh?"s. :D

If I had time I would reread both and try to come up with some devilishly clever questions but, alas, it cannot be. Of course, I'll just be eager to hear whatever you have to say about them so I'll sit back and let everyone else come up with the clever questions.
Ooo, I have a sort-of-maybe OT question: what other Tom Waits songs do you recommend? (I only have a few on my player.)

Oooh, I'm a big fan of "Dirt on the Ground." That whole album, actually, is very spooky and atmospheric, it's called "Bone Machine." I think "Step Right Up" is hilarious. You should check out the soundtrack for The Black Rider. It's really fairy tale and horrifying. I'd also be remiss in my music history if I didn't also tell you to download the album "Electricity" by Captain Beefheart, as well as everything by Howling Wolf you can find. You can draw a pretty straight line between the three artists.

Cold, Cold Ground -- kind of hard to find, but it's on (i believe) the island years. and it's sad and amazing.
Gun Steet Girl -- awesome!
Chocolate Jesus
You have 'Goin' Out West', right?
Dirt In the Ground
Anything on the 'Rain Dogs' album, specifically 'Singapore' and 'Tango til They're Sore' (and Rain Dogs, of course)
Hang On St. Christopher
Murder in the Red Barn
i can also upload stuff if you want -- i have, like, seven or eight of his albums. :) i love spreading around the tom waits love. :D
