the night before the first day of school...

i ran 16 miles last night, all but the first two and last two miles were under 10-minute miles (my current goal pace for my marathon). i both impressed and surprised myself. i then ran a recovery 3 miles this morning, and my legs/feet/blisters all feel great! i wonder how much faster/stronger i'll be after another 8 weeks of training? i'm ( Read more... )

woo hoo! We are so athletic. I was thinking about offering to ride my bike along with you on your next long run. 6 mph is pretty slow biking, but if you'd like the company I'd be willing to do it.

Detroit Marathon is only 8 weeks away! I've put together a training plan for the 5k, with my goal being to run the whole thing w/o stopping. Afterwords I'm going to introduce you as "This is erin, she runs marathons". Tee!

You'll be a fine teacher, just don't throw rocks at the kids and you'll do great.
