What program do you use to make the icons?

I was wondering on the Taylor icons (#7-10) how you got everything black and white besides the guitar? I've been trying to figure it out with Photoshop and I have no idea.

I'm new at the whole icon/graphic making stuff..

i use photoshop too, what i do is just select all the area that i want black and white, and then theres this handy little tool called Hue/Saturation under Image>Adjustments, and you just drag the meter for Saturation alllll the way down. it might sound unclear now but once youre in photoshop it will make sense :-p
is that taylor in your icon? i thought it was kurt cobain lol
