For some it's difficult to make it
In an ideal world, there would be no hunger nor homeless people. In Hawaii there are many more people becoming homeless which will only become worse because the middle class is slowly being squeezed out of Hawaii irrelevant if they are Hawaiian or not.

Someone responded to my last entry. I was going to post about the Del Monte plant shutting down sooner than they said they would but didn't post it yesterday since I sometimes post too much but Del Monte is shutting down two years ahead of schedule which means there may be more people homeless:

Poverty still strikes Hawaiians
I am a deviation from the norm of the economic status of Hawaiians. It's probably due to a variety of factors. One of them being that I look Haole with dark blonde hair so it helps. I read in today's paper that Inouye's top aide's (Henry Kuualoha Giugni) wife recently passed away in Maryland. How sad! I know it's the people behind the scene that usually do alot of the work and while I disagree with alot of what Inouye has done and continues to do Giugni served as the Senate's sergeant at arms for 30 or so years. My Hilo Grandma exposed me to Hawaiian food though she once told me not to eat Hawaiian food infront of other people or else they will think I am a heathen.
