Warm Nights at the Library

I'm sitting here adding bibliographical details to some primary sources I'm working through -- British newspapers from 1851 detailing the opening of the Great Exhibition. It's a cool 70 outside, clear skies, with Feist's "1, 2, 3, 4" on heavy rotation in the background of my mind; it's been in my head since Saturday and doesn't seem to be leaving ( Read more... )

Feist - brilliant! She's absolutely brill.

And Pret - again brilliant, my fave was the breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg and sausage.

She's indeed good fun.

And Pret was good en route to Heathrow. Mmm...smoked salmon on brown bread. For 2.30, none better.

And I should be around more often now that I've got Claudia here. Poor Maude bit the dust some time ago and I've been trying to replace her since.

And now you've gotten that in my head. Well, fuck. That's just what I needed when writing a paper on transnational labor migration (which I don't care about at all - this is for the obnoxious professor). Now all I want to do is float around in whimsy. Crud.

Ouch. How'd you end up with a topic like that? I'm presuming its transnational labor migration in one of the Gulf states, n'est-ce pas?

And I mean, you still can float around in whimsy....just imagine the paper as a Bollywood musical number :-).
