As I Approach The End Of Advent...
... I find myself increasingly weary of the plenitude of hymns to Our Lady as the examplar of womanhood -- written by men -- that base their lauds solely upon the notion that she went through pregnancy and childbirth without complaining about it.

To be fair, it was an unexpected pregnancy in unusual circumstances, but still. Facepalm.
