New Propositions for 2009

Now that there's a precedent for changing the definition of words by voting (CA Prop 8 passed), I have a few proposals for next year's ballot:

  • Redefine "man" to mean "human" and "woman" to mean "human". Then Prop 8 means any two humans can marry.
  • Introduce the word "garriage" (pronounced like gay-ridge). This word would be a new form of "civil ( Read more... )

    Awesome Matt. I myself was thinking about what we can put on the ballot next time. We'd have to make sure we go to several others states and put the same thing on their ballots too. Civil Marriages or whatever we'd like to call them have nothing to do with Personal Religious Marriages. Whatever Civil Marriage/Union/Garriage the gov't offers should be open to all its citizens. Americans shouldn't try to push their religious beliefs on other Americans. Separation between church and state.
