Finally thinking....

Heh, I just realized one thing I left out of my baby checklist post - picking a NAME! That's kind of important, I guess.

My entire thought process about prenatal Rhogam. Almost entirely for my own organizational needs. )

rhogam, extended breastfeeding, pregnant

I remember after Aurora was born, Kieran was watching very jealously as she nursed. I offered him a chance to nurse, so he opened up his mouth, leaned forward, and then pulled away at the last minute with a look of confusion on his face. I never had any problems after that at all, as he felt confident that he was allowed to nurse if he wanted to but that it was his choice not to do it.

:) I've heard that mentioned as a good thing to do.

Of course, as I knew he would, once I actually posted something about it, SAM started asking again more often. *shrug* He's still not doing it right, but whatever. :)

That's awesome about the kitten! :-D
I'm not sure how I'll feel when Raven's ready to wean. We're doing child-led (unless my thyroid has other plans) and nursing has been such an awesome thing for us - it was kind of the one "normal" thing we had for a while amidst the NICU crap and doctor visits and shots and exams, etc. But, Jake and I have agreed to start talking about/trying for another baby when Raven's weaned and out of diapers, so I guess it's not ALL bad ;-)

*nods* Hopefully you won't have to decide how you feel about weaning for a good long while. That's another bonus to child-led - it's not like he's a baby anymore, so it's less of a sad emotional thing.

I guess if weaning and being out of diapers were our criteria for trying for another one, we might still be waiting... :) He's still in diapers at night again, since he asked to switch back - could be a while. :P

Agreed. I'm just glad that, other than a couple of rounds of mastitis, we've really had a pretty easy time of things :-)
I think that the diaper rule was a bigger deal to me before we decided to cloth diaper. Now I'm just kinda like, "Meh. Whenever we have the money for me to stay home for a while." :-D

Yay! It's good when some things are easy.

Indeed. :) Buying diapers all the time would be getting way to expensive by this point.

Ah, that is the one I looked at after all, I guess I was too sleepy. And I had thought you had talked about it being a really big study. *shrug* I guess 3000 isn't so bad.

So, then, 99.9% accuracy with the Eldon cards when used on mostly normal-blood-type people. I rather suspect that the blood bank would have found out if I had a weird blood type, by this point. 1 false negative out of 2373 rh positive people isn't too bad.

Some people do it that way. It's difficult to know for sure if you're going to have another child, though.

And if you read what I wrote, you will know that I am seriously considering it. :P
