I'm SOOOO excited for you guys! I'm greatly interested in this tub. I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with a home birth for #2 (I think we're just gonna try for another waterbirth at the birth center), but maybe #3. :-D I put cloth diapers ALL OVER my registry and wound up getting about five HUUUUUGE bags of disposables -_- In retrospect, this was a good thing since when she actually came home, she was too tiny for all of the cloth diapers we had, lol. Speaking of which, I need to buy more BGs...
:) I still haven't inflated it, but I have found my air mattress inflater.
*nods* We've had time to beat it into our family that we don't like disposables much, but I fear the lure of clothes we don't need rather than diapers. :) I'm trying to convince them that cloth diapers are cute.
I have one preemie cover, for some reason, I think I won it on hyenacart. :) I'm trying to figure out if maybe I can put some bamboo liners in there and use it like a diaper, if the baby fits in it at all.
Re: clothes: OMG yes >_< We have so many clothes that we're donating to the NICU. People were buying her preemie stuff even when she was in 0-3, so a ton of it was never even worn. The rest we're saving for hand-me-downs and friends. You can probably use it as a diaper at first, I would think. We didn't bother getting preemie covers - they grow out of preemie size the fastest, so I figured buying disposables in preemie size until she made it to 6 lbs (which was about a week and a half, I think, lol) wasn't too bad. :)
If we have a girl, I'm very much afraid of all the clothes my family will buy because they're "just too cute to pass up". :) Oh well, we can pass them along.
*nods* We'll see - it looks around the size of SAM's newborn diapers, from what I remember. But the tag says it only goes up to 5 pounds, and SAM was 8 when he was born. *shrug*
:) Well, thank you! It's at http://amzn.com/w/1P79H6HJ3WLJC - and if anyone with multiple kids wants to look at it and tell me if there's some indispensable second-child item that I don't have on there, that would be nice. :) Still have to find a good baby book to put on there, hmm.
We don't know. :) I only had the one ultrasound when I got paranoid earlier in the pregnancy, and all they did was look for a heartbeat and such. It was way too blurry and rather early to even think about gender. We have done two IntelliGender tests, and both said girl. :) They claim to be highly accurate, but internet people say differently.

How to I get to your diaper wish list? I'd like to get you some.
Surfactant? That make me think laundry detergent as in "contains ionic and non-ionic surfactants." :-)

Yep, they are related. :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulmonary_surfactant
