So i went for a walk tonight. had a lot on my mind. on my way back to my car I got stopped by police. of course. I was "j-walking" through a crosswalk (one of the few times i actually use them, and it probably saved my ass). The walk light wasn't on. So I get stopped and he does the normal routine. My info? I give it to him. Any weapons? nope.

yeah, it's the 4th ammendment. but be careful, depending on where you are, there may or may not be a shitload of loopholes based on state court decisions. know your rights! amen to that.
