Lucas had his misgivings about this, to be honest. The idea of spilling his innermost thoughts to a stranger was a little bit... awkward, even if Mr. Mask was a professional. Seeing a shrink... it was... well... not normal, right? He wasn't even sure exactly how to put everything on his mind into words; eloquence was hardly his forte.

Even so, he'd asked for an appointment for a good reason, and backing out wouldn't do him any good.

He'd been able to locate Mr. Mask's office with only minor difficulty, and only lingered out there for a few minutes before he worked up the nerve to actually move. He risked a quick glance around, to make sure nobody was watching, then hastily knocked and slipped inside the office before he chickened out.

"M-Mr. Mask? Sorry I'm late, I... uh... do I smell cookies?"

Mr. Mask swallowed his enormous bite of baked good, "Lucas! Welcome! And yes, you DO smell cookies. Care for one? They're chocolate chip~" Mr. Mask offered the plate to the boy.

Well... it was entirely possible that Mr. Mask was just trying to win him over with sweets, but those cookies did smell good. There was no harm in a cookie, anyway. "Ah... thank you!" Lucas gratefully accepted a cookie and took a bite. No sooner had he done so than a smile broke over his face. "Hey, these are really good!"
He looked a little embarrassed at the outburst, swallowing his mouthful before continuing. "Oh... uh, sorry. Didn't mean to talk with my mouth full."

Mr. Mask laughed, "No problem, Lucas." He went and sat in his desk chair, motioning Lucas to sit in the chair across from him.

Upon sitting down, Mr. Mask asked the boy, "So Lucas, what did you want to talk about?"

((OOC: Oops, missed Samus' post. Starting a new comment because ick, skinny posts.))

Lucas happily grabbed another cookie and chowed down, though Mr. Mask's next question took him a bit by surprise. He paused to finish chewing, then spoke up. "D-destroy the world? What? No, never, that's... that's a bit crazy, don't you think?" Was he really required to ask that? How many students said yes? You'd have to be nuts to wanna wreck everything.

"...Though I sometimes think it'd be nice if the world came with a reset button."

Mr. Mask laughed jovially, "Yes, don't we all. But it is a good sign that you don't actually want to... kill it." He joined Lucas in having a cookie.

"How about we set our next meeting for... next Monday? That is, unless your willing to have a weekend session," Mr. Mask offered.

"I kinda thought it went without saying that nobody wanted to... well, kill the world. I guess you have to be extra careful when so many of the students here have special powers and stuff." Though the idea of, say, a talking squirrel plotting global destruction was kind of silly, at best.

"I'm fine with coming in on the weekend. The sooner we can talk, the better. I've put this off for way too long already."

"Ok," Mr. Mask concluded, "I'll speak with Claus and see what we can do."
