Mr. Mask strolled into the little bistro he had gotten a table at and waved hello to the waiters he knew on his way to his usual seat. He was a regular here and the staff knew him well.

He was waiting for his fellow ( Read more... )

((Oh god, so sorry about MIA-ness. My modem died and I couldn't get a new one till today. We can just say this is back-logged or something...))

Walking into the restaurant, Weavile paused and studied his new surroundings. It wasn't quite the sort of place the pokemon had pictured Mask to choose, but it didn't surprise him all that much. Glancing around, he noticed his counselor partner and approached him.

"I hope you weren't waiting too long," Weavile sat down. Noticing Mask's composure, he asked, "Do you come here often?" The quirky atmosphere of the restaurant wasn't exactly what Weavile was used to, but it had a bit of a quaint, homey feel to it too.

Mr. Mask gave a toothy grin and greeted his co-worker, "Greetings an salutations!" he exclaimed, not mentioning that he had been sitting there for a bit. He didn't want Weavile to feel bad.

"Welcome, friend, I hope you don't mind my choice. The people know me here," he remarked, " with a more devious smirk he added, "I may make you sing karaoke tonight. It's a custom here."

He motioned with his arm for Weavile to sit.

((don't worry about it, computers die. It's ok, really!))

"Karaoke?" Weavile raised an eyebrow. "Unfortunately, that is not one of my better skills. I will have to pass on that." Even though he said that, if Mask really wanted to get him to sing, Weavile figured the man would have his way. Or, at least, he would humor the other counselor with his attempt at singing.

"Since you know this place so well, perhaps you could make a recommendation on what I should get?" he asked with a smirk. Normally he wasn't one to take advice from others, but Weavile was feeling somewhat adventurous tonight.

Happy Mask was a bit flustered at his current task. He didn't know Weavile very well, but assumed that he was a carnivorous pokemon and he felt slightly confident in his assumption.

Mr. Mask paused a moment before answering, "Well, I've always thought that the chipotle steak was delicious, but it's really up to you," he laughed. Then Mr. Mask had a devilish look in his eyes, "And everyone has to karaoke, my dear friend," he giggled, "It can be more fun that you think."

It didn't take long for Mask to get down to business. Weavile supposed that was one aspect of the man he could admire. However, unlike their last meeting, the pokemon didn't exactly have any prepared questions. He figured that since he asked most of the questions last time, he would give Mask a chance.

But if Mask wanted him to start the conversation, he might as well. "So, I heard the musical auditions didn't go as planned. How bad was it?"

Mr. Mask frowned a bit at the subject, "They were horrible. Mostly because only two students showed up," he explained, "But I've talked it over with some fellow teachers and, we're going to try it again later. All the student enrollment confusion put us at a disadvantage."

"I see... Well, I hope it goes better next time. My offer still stands if you need help with anything when the time comes." Weavile paused, not sure whether to continue on their current topic. He was tempted to asked who actually showed up, but was worried that Mask's attitude might worsen.

Instead, he replied, "What else have you been up to?" With such a vague question, he hoped the other would take the initiative to steer the conversation. From what he already knew of his companion, the other guidance counselor would be quick on the up-take.
