Give Me Some Sugar

I've been noticing something. Just here and there. Maybe it's the existence of Men's Pocky, a less sweet version for those macho manly men who don't want to eat girly feminine..uh...chocolate-dipped pretzel sticks. Right. Or this helpful list, which will make sure you don't shame yourself by ordering something as revolting as a drink known ( Read more... )

White chocolate is goddamn delicious. As is dark chocolate. And that's all I can really contribute because I'm in a fog right now but I like this post.

Fair. I just like making fun of white chocolate. I actually had some I really liked a while back, it had lemon zest and pink peppercorns and was amazing.

And thanks!

I liked white chocolate before but I LOVE IT SO HARD after having a lot of amazing white chocolate here in Europe. It's so mouth melty and mmmmmmmmm. I just had some with coffee so I have very strong feelings about it right now.

Since actually having white chocolate that was not cheap and awful, I have been forced to concede it can be capable of deliciousness, especially when combined with other flavours. I don't feel that it's chocolate, but it can be good.

Yes, this! Yes, this. I actually saw, honest to God, "Muesli for Men" in the supermarket the other day. That was what it was actually CALLED. The ingredients were the same as muesli everywhere, so I wanted to think it was tongue-in-cheek. I'm sort of afraid it wasn't.

Maybe it has added fiber for extra manly farting lol.

I tried to imagine what that would look like, and all that came to mind was little nutsack-shaped crunchy bits in it.

It's really weird. I like my drinks somewhere in the middle, anyway. Not syrupy, not bitter or over-tannic. I like a mellow red wine, I like Guinness, I like all varieties of chocolate including white. (Must have real cocoa butter. NOT the fake kind).

And many times have I sat down beside a man, each of us with our pint of Ben and Jerrys, and we each polished off the whole container. XD

The only good thing about g026r's lactose intolerance is that when I get ice cream, mysterious checked-shirt-wearing pixies don't steal it all the second my back is turned.

Also, now a container of yoghurt's lifespan in the apartment isn't measured in hours.

I always go the weirdest direction on stuff like this...

Human breast milk is sweet and sugary --so maybe in a strange primitive utopia where all else is equal, women get the privilege of being allowed to like sugary things because it is suited to their natural and nature-given powers? I've always felt that some of the gender stereotypes are not so negative for us and not that big a deal and maybe even help to compensate for some of the others. Like, I enjoy wearing pants without getting stoned to death, but it is rather nice to have doors held open for me, too, especially when I'm carrying things ( ... )

Wait, I just looked at that drink list --there are at least five drinks on there that are stereotypical men's drinks, at least where I come from. Bourbon and coke? Black & tan? Vodka tonic? The Dude's famous White Russian? If I ordered any of those in my local bar I would be congratulated on my bold and unashamed lesbianism. (Which is also silly. I can be mannish and like cock, damnit!)

That's what I was thinking, what's unmanly about a black and tan?

Mmmm, White Russians.

God, I hate men, most of the time. I know it's not the answer and that it accomplishes exactly nothing except making me angry, but sometimes I just can't help it. Why is humanity so fucking stupid?

I hate masculinity more than men. The construction of what manliness is is corrosive to everybody, especially the rest of us.

This is true.

Agreed. Proscribed gender roles are as harmful to men as they are to women.
