Your pictures made me so happy! I think the one that says "Greeting from NZ" is amazing. I put the picture you sent me on my wall and my friends ask why it's there all the time :-) I'm home and I can't wait until you are. It's weird to be home when it's not your permanent home anymore. New York is weird in general right now. But the good kind of weird, I think. Kind of like the first few days after camp, you know? I think about you a lot because it's Fall and that makes me think of the leaves and days like the one when Hope made my eye bleed and you and Evan took care of me. I hope you're having an amazing time-- it seems like you are. There's so much to tell and be told!

rachel, i'm really hungry and i want to do this right and write a whole big thing about how i camped on the beach for four days, and got caught in the rain but i had a tent, and how i thought lots of good thoughts about being home and away, and how even though they don't celebrate thanksgiving here- i'm really thankful for you and your friendship every day. but i think i'll leave it at that, and tell you happy thanksgiving and enjoy fall, and i love you and a big hug! i'll see you really soon.

hoooppppeeee, of all the crazy people i know in this world, right now you are the one whose name i really need to call out like that. i miss you, i want to see you and laugh with you, and i know you'd understand where i am- i don't mean new zealand. i feel confused and exhausted and happy and low down, but never hopeless. i really just want to hear in what ways you've been the same and different; and even though i can only imagine or look at pictures, i'm glad for the experiences you've been having too. i hope you've been good, and getting more sleep than i have lately, and i'll see you really soon. i love you too

cait, i miss you too and i want to see your face! i've been having weird dreams, since i don't think i've been sleeping enough. how have you been? beaming a lot i hope. it's still autumn right, and not sniffly snowy winter yet? the next couple of days i'm going to be camping on the beach! and eating sardines. even though i do a lot of things i like, and think about doing even more, i still get pangs of i don't even know what. it's really good to have you as a friend. the letter i have yet to send you might get to america after i do, isn't that crazy? three weeks. i love you heaps and raaaaah!
