December 24 Learning experience. What was a lesson you learned this year that changed you?I'm not really very different now than I was a year ago so I'm not sure I learned much of substance in 2009. I did learn that the older we get, the more awkward, painful things we'll have to have to confront: death, divorce, etc. I'm sure I'll learn this more

This year has been the worst for a lot of people and it is hard to know what to say or how to deal with the big life issues. Being in the direct line of fire this year, just knowing someone cared was enough. The simple "sorry for your loss" was nice to hear. I think that's all people need.
