I went to a live dance performance!
Me, Ash, & Aub went to see the school dance company. It was good, but last year's show was a little better. My favorite piece this time was an angry piece about leaving. I love when you see angry emotion coming from the dancers.. it's beautiful! They had a piece about schizophrenia that was interesting, but I think they could have done more with the lighting and chosen more flow to mix in with the jolted movements. Oh yeah, and they danced to "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" and Whitney Houston is too much fun not to like that one. I want to be a dancer, now. For one piece, they wore these little one-piece leotard-esque getups with (what looked like) boyshorts at the bottom instead of the typical cut leotard... and my God! FABULOUS ASSES! Our dance company has so many different body styles, and I really like that. They mix it up, so it's not all starving ballet dancers or ripped hip hop dancers. They ended the show with a fun, everyone-on-stage chaotic but synchronized piece, and they were all wearing tie-dye shirts. It looked fun. I can't wait to embark on my dancing career, which I started this morning dancing around the apartment with nothing but Pikachu slippers on. We'll see how this new path goes for me.
