first car hit

May 17, 2008 16:56

so I had my first bike car accident. Most likely my fault, as I leisurely rode through yellow light. So the down side is a sprained wrist, road burned skin, and bent frame and rim. That last is the biggest suck. Can a steel frame be bent back?

I'm doing ok. Can't ride to work for at least 2 days and then only if I can get my hands on a set of arrow bars. Suck. The wrist is doing ok but I'm really pissed about the bike. thanks for the support.

Wow, I'm really sorry to hear about your bike, but I'm happy to hear that you're not d-e-a-d, mister. There will be more bike frames, but never another Jon! How's the wrist healing?

Not bad but I'm having it xrayed tomorrow. I'm hoping nothing is broken.

Wow dude. I'm really really glad you were not more seriously hurt.

Jessica just told me that it was the new bike you just finished building too :(

Appreciate it Steve. Bonafide was a great bike and I'm hoping I can get the frame fixed but I don't think it'll happen.

This is just like at the end of Back to the Future III when the Delorean gets destroyed by the train. SPOILER ALERT!!!!!

Maybe Lance Armstrong will show up with a new time traveling bike for you.

Mend quickly my friend!
