True, I can only listen to it for a longer while when my mind's a bit wonky and threatening to go mad with PC work, but then it's perfect!

The awesome thing about Bowie is that he covered such a huge range of styles and moods that I am finding a Bowie tune to suit just about any situation. His stuff is just so damn evocative, it's impossible to use as pure background noise because it makes me feel things. FEEEELINGS.

OMG, Thin White Duke, and plastic soul! Right now that's the stuff I'm really digging. The sound of it, at least. Physically, it's hard to watch his performances during the mid-70's without noticing what a tragic coke zombie he was, but hot damn, that tragic coke zombie wrote some incredible music!

(And his son's name is Duncan Jones, burgeoning film director who made the excellent sci-fi indie film, "Moon" with Sam Rockwell. Talented family!)
