He tries to be quiet and avoid anyone thinking that if he’s quiet, just like those little mice, then maybe he can escape to the sanctuary of his room. It’s been weeks since Leeteuk has had even a second to himself, and he needs it, badly. But, alas, his attempt to be mouse-like amounts to an epic fail when Donghae pounces on him just like a cat. He is tired, and he is annoyed, but he hides these expressions and turns to face his dongsaeng.
“Yes, Donghae?” he asks pleasantly, and Donghae smiles at him.
“Hyung,” says Donghae, “can we order take out tonight? I called Hankyung, but he didn’t want to make any fried rice.” Leeteuk inwardly sighs and wonders why he can’t get a moment of privacy but he nods.
“Sure, just ask the others what they want too, alright.” Donghae nods happily, and Leeteuk thinks he’s finally going to get his break, but Donghae grabs his wrist.
“Hyung, what do you want?” Leeteuk sighs.
“I don’t know,” he says, “I don’t want anything.”
“That’s not healthy hyung,” says Donghae and launches into a speech about eating disorders. Leeteuk nods and gives up, wondering why it is that he’s referred to as the Umma, but it doesn’t matter right now.
“Listen,” he says to Donghae, “just order me something I’ll eat…I’ll eat later. But for now, I just want to go to my room and sleep, okay?” Donghae stares at him but nods, eyes sparkling like a little puppy. Leeteuk gets up and creeps like a mouse to his bedroom door, turns the handle, opens the door, and then hears Kangin calling for him. Leeteuk can never get any time to himself, really.
