TV on too loud

Those of you still left here may see me posting more often here. I am getting very weary of Facebook. Even though I have trimmed down who and what I see, it is still too crowded, insular and blatantly like an electronic billboard, something out of Blade Runner. I feel more and more like I am being hammered by a never-ending stream of bullshit ( Read more... )

I have never been a big fan of fb but I have close real life (but geographically far away) friends and family who only post on fb so I stay there. I get most of my news and things to think about from twitter and I really enjoy instagram for photos and a more fluffy social media experience:) I also use tumblr but for a very specific purpose and less now that I have IG.
But I like LJ too even though I rarely post here, maybe I'll have do more of that. I look forward to seeing more of you here too. I like the linear aspect of LJ and I don't miss what people post here because it's not hidden among all kinds of other junk like on fb.

Yes! The linear aspect is one thing that I like; things not being hidden by junk. I also like that it tells complete tales and not broken fragments of information.

I like this place because you can be the one, the only HDPH!

Facebook is often exhausting. I don't blame you one bit. As school pushes forward, I'll have less and less time to sift through it all.

School can definitely cut down on time to do a lot of things. When I was in school, there was no FB, or I wasn't on it, one or the other, can't remember (old age). But I remember that LJ was the real deal for me, especially in the post-Katrina days.
