As everyone who knows and loves me would agree, my sense of direction is questionable at best. I'm not very good at figuring out the boundaries of neighborhoods in Los Angeles. I do know I live in Hollywood technically. I'm pretty sure the coffee shop I'm sitting in is in Silverlake but it might be someplace completely different! Alas, what I'm ( Read more... )

How's the job search going?

Tips on making friends? Just be yourself. Get involved in some organizations, etc... Maybe you and Danny could hang out sometime. Also, your roommate sounds like a good start. Maybe she can introduce you to other people, as well. Once you find a job, you'll meet people there, too.

It's hard but it's coming along. I feel good about it.

Yeah, I hoping she will. She mostly hangs out with her boyfriend rather than a group of friends but he's very cool so we'll see. Ha, I'm not sure about Danny the coffee house guy but who knows.

OMG that is my regular coffeeshop! It's less than five minutes from my place.

(Also it's in Atwater Village.)

OMG really?! REALLY? It's about 12 minutes from my apartment. I was driving rather aimlessly and was initially attracted to it by the empty parking spaces in front of it, but it ended up being AWESOME! I can't believe I stumbled upon YOUR coffee house. I'm inappropriately excited about this. (not in a creepy way, I felt the need to add)
Do you live within walking distance of it? We should totes meet up there sometime.

That's a great coffee shop. The parking lot of the bank across the street from it and a little east (away from the freeway is east, there) has a great small farmers market on Sundays. They have cute humus and cheese boys there.

A lot of my favorite people from LA have left since I left, sadly. I'm sure Amy can introduce you to some of my favorites who remain. You should get to know sarcasticval. She's awesome.

I adore you too and will wait patiently for your arrival in LA. I am going to start making an effort to be on LJ more, especially after the holidays <3
