our reality is shaped by how we perceive ourselves and how we perceive others perceiving us. what others think of us matters in varying degrees, it depends on who the person is relative to us. it also depends on how secure we are,

you may be right, nothing matters as much as people think, we were born from nothing and we will die into nothing, but in between, the most trivial events sometimes hold the most importance,
