Buyer's Remorse....Again

So I went to an appliance scratch and dent sale that started today just to look and ended up buying my washing machine there. It was about $150 more than I intended on spending, but the actual washer was about $250 less than retail - just because of a small dent in the bottom corner. Good tip. I have also heard that if it has shriveled you can submerge it in water and it will absorb the water and unshrivel. I have never been ambitious enough to try it because by the time that happens the novelty of the carved pumpkin has worn off.

Yanno, I think one of the coolest things about owning your own home is the "first times." The first party, the first holiday, the first cookies baked in the kitchen, the first sex on top of the new dryer in spin cycle :-D etc. Another cool thing is starting traditions - like it's Halloween and you are having a party and carving pumpkins. If you do it again next year - it's a tradition! Good times and good memories make a house a home.

You are so right. I haven't really had a chance to sit down and just do regular things like bake cookies, ect. Last night I came home and did wash in the *new washer!!* and cut up veggies for fajitas and was so pleased! I think feeling at home began to sink in for the first time. Also I really like the tradition idea! What's a home without people to share it with, especially during the holidays!
