Snow Day!

Nov 30, 2006 17:37

A huge winter storm came through this morning and has been dumping snow since about 10 am. I left work at about 1:30 and drove about 20 mph all the way home in super low visibility and with frozen windshield wipers. I brought home some work but after the tense drive home and taking out the dogs and cleaning up the snowy floors I just wanted to take ( Read more... )

Awww, the doggies are so cute in the snow. I wonder what Sophie would do. Haha. She wasn't ready for the dog beach this year, but hopefully by spring, she will be. I can't wait to see her bounding around in the surf!

The crate training will go REALLY fast...I think Sophie learned to go outside within two weeks, and then she was all about scratching at the door. :)

OK. First question! Henry has been crate training for over a week now. We let him out whenever he is at the door and then he comes in and pees! Like within 5 minutes! It's so frustrating because he could easily go outside. Do we need to punish him more or reward him more???

You're going to hate me for saying this, but you have to stand out there and force him to pee. Like me...it's not cold here, but I still have to stand outside in my pajamas, and say, "GO PEE!!! GO PEE!!!" repeatedly until she actually goes, then I am all crazy with the happy petting and rewarding and cookies and stuff. Haha. Now she is all good about it, but it took at least a week!

You can have him!! He's driving us nuts! He has turned Sydney into his partner in crime and they are determined to destroy the house!

HAHA, too damn cute! Syd is looking like a champ! And that little dog is cute for a little dog. Hopefully our dog gets that crate training down. HOw old is Henry?

And I noticed you were watching HGTV, why does that not surprise me ;-)

Henry is 18 weeks old. He will always have his little stumper legs! And Sydney is adjusting. I think she loves Henry now. They are constantly wrestling and it is usually on top of my feet when I am sitting on the couch. They are quite the pair.

And HGTV. Yes. I love it. :)
