Well we're approaching the final swing of my pregnancy (I'm 31 weeks - the count down begins) and in the process of scoping out day care. We only need part time infant care (I'm off Saturday and Sunday, my husband is off Monday through Wednesday and I plan to only work half days on Thursday and Friday when I go back). Lucky us right? Be very sure to check with whichever office oversees licensure for childcare in your area and the BBB to see what types of complaints and/or violations the provider has had. Most people would be amazed at how many infractions a facility (public or home) can have and not be required to inform everyone. Don't be afraid to ask for references, for referrals from others, and to 'drop in' unexpectedly sometime.

Do you have a college nearby? You could always try to hire a nanny (someone who is persuing an education degree--or wants to work with kids). Make sure to call all their references. As for questions...it depends on what you're looking for for childcare....
