Why does everyone have gifts for me if I have nothing for them, but if I have something they don't have anything for me?!

My dad keeps on telling me how he got loads of presents for me, and I haven't gotten something for him, then there is you and Katie and Tara and they're all like "You don't HAVE to get something for me..."
