Cato is trying to speaking English!! It's crazy. About 90% of what I say to her is "Baby Cato!" And she's starting to say it too. She'll listen intently whenever I talk to her, but then at quiet moments, like when I'm reading on the bed next to her cage, she'll say "Bee-bee. Remember when those eggs were about to hatch and we were out of town? Kenan and Ben were taking care of the birds and then they hatched and they had to make a mixture of melba toast and egg yoke. Ha! My dad was freekin out. He is such a softy. Sounds like you got a sweet tweeter- good luck.

Oh gawd Tiger, I think about our little baby birdies all the time. I think we were all pretty brave to go through with that. How blessed we were that they all survived and that we even got a magic white one out of the clutch. Amazing how those little worms grew up to be beautiful birds. I don't think I'll do that again. Shaba Ranks- super dad extrordinare. After those chicks were born Shaba took care of them then started building a new nest w/KF. When she was ready to start laying eggs she started harassing the youngins and we had to move her into the other room. I remember thinking he has aging fast trying to take care of everyone.... hmmm I can sort of relate to that now. I remember getting fake eggs and substituting them for the real thing- I think that made you a little sad. I can hardly believe that they sell fake finch eggs.

Shaba Shaba! HA! One memory leads to another, I swear!

OK, I promise I won't pester you with a million "Rember when" moments, but . . .

Remember when we saw Shaba Ranks perform and during the song "Trailer Load of Girls" all those girls streamed onto the stage and were dance-doing it with Shaba? Oh wholly! That was awesome. LOL!!!
