Well! It's come to my attention that maybe some of you out there -- and nobody specifically, of course; it just seems to be happening at an awfully alarming rate lately and I knew I had to do something about it -- could perhaps use a teensy refresher course on Being Careful With Your Words ( Read more... )

...So what if that young lady's dress really did look terrible? Because, if you think about it, if you said what Gallant did, the girl would be walking out in a terrible dress without even knowing it.

Well, the point is really that the beauty is on the inside, so while of course you should take pride in your outer appearance, the size of your rear end has nothing to do with how beautiful you are!

Although if she really had looked terrible, I'm sure Gallant would've found a polite and considerate way to tell her! It's all in the words you use!

Oh, I see! Like for instance...your inside must be so beautiful, like a delightful crimson red, that reminds me of a delicious red apple!

Thank you! I do so hope everyone is getting a lot out of it! I think it is something we all just need to be reminded of every now and again, just as a little refresher!

This is all very good advice! Doing and saying whatever you can to make someone happy is very important. I think, though, that you need to put more emphasis on smiling. Some people can't sing, and so I think it is especially important that they know that smiling can be just as good an option, if not sometimes even better!

Oh! You and I seem to be kindred spirits! I do absolutely one-hundred-percent agree -- well, perhaps ninety-nine-percent agree, because I firmly believe that anyone can sing as long they open their heart to the music within their soul!

But a smile is always just as good, if not even better!

That can't be quite right, since some people - a very small percentage - are tone deaf and can't help it that they can't sing. I'm sure they can still always try, but I doubt it would leave many people feeling too happy.

But it's true that smiles can be better!

I, for one, am always happy to hear somebody sing, regardless of what their voice actually sounds like! But I do see your point. Sometimes other people can be very unkind in regard to vocal quality! But as long as you keep a song in your heart, even if only you can hear it, everything will be all right!

I agree! It truly is unfortunate. But if people try and really put their hearts into it, I'm sure everything will work out splendidly!

Indeed! There is absolutely no reason why we can't all be civil to one another for a change! I'm sure we would be surprised at how wonderful everything seems after that!

Your accent is familiar! Captain and Mr. Alfons sometimes speak that language -- it's, what is it...? German! Yes! Am I right?
