Cate and I went walked through two townhouses on Sunday with a realtor. It was pretty fun. The first one was a very cluttered 1 floor condo. It had potential. The second one was an already-vacant 1 floor condo, but it was a lot more beat up than the other. Very much so a fixer-upper. At this point two years ago, I had attended new-teacher training at Lawrence public schools. There were about 30 new hires. Two or three teachers carried us through the first day with some powerpoint presentations. The Superintendent popped in for a quick speech, but that was about it ( Read more... ) -

I find it humorous (and a little suspect) that I equate playing with different bands almost like cheating on a significant other. They aren't comparable in any way, shape, or form, but my experience paints it in that light. I just spilled $1800 into my car. Labor costs way too much. Give me the parts. I'll youtube how to install and fix stuff.
Seriously though. Half of it was labor. This was the first major investment I've put into the car since we bought it. It rides like new now. I should get another few years out of it. Yay! -
