a couple photos to share from our trip from west to east across the states. the most breathtaking place we visited was the white mountains (california, not to be confused with the range in nh). sitting atop these mountains is the bristlecone pine forest--a place where some trees are over 5000 years old. it is extremely remote, but we were itching ( Read more... )

I've done some backpacking, hiking and camping in the Sierras, but have not yet been to the Bristlecone Pine areas, specifically White Mountain. But it's on my list!
