After watching yet another 10 episodes or so of Friends, I decided to take initiative and go out into Shanghai by myself. Donning my Northface and scarf, I hitched a taxi to Nan Jing Lu (for prospective tourists, this is the IT of touristy places. It's like NYC's Times Square stretched into a long pedestrian-only road).
