yen is finally well but our grand plans to do several things on nye were thwarted because (1) puppet show tix for today are all sold out (2) hcm mausoleum is closed on mondays and fridays (3) by the time we reached back to the guesthouse last night, it was too late to book the cooking class that would commence at 8am today.

i'm really liking this whole everywhere-has-wifi experience we are having in vietnam. day 2 saw me and yen trying out the tailoring in hanoi, we'll be collecting our dresses on tue when we get back from sapa, if it turns out well, we'll make more! fingers crossed! have already saved many other designs :)

yen and i had a lovely xmas eve evening starting with dinner at highway 4 accompanied by several santa clauses going round the restaurant to toast plum liquer to the guests, watched a harlem-yu-look-alike hanoi idol perform at a street concert and are currently chilling outdoors at a desserts place in perfect 23 degrees weather.

gl and i did my last ecp run today in the most perfect weather one can ask for. i have been doing very slow training runs since forever until last wed when i ran with a colleague. his two steps equated my three and i was trying very hard to catch up. we did 10km in good pace and i was very encouraged to do another 7.5km on my own this monday. today ( Read more... )

we requested for the zoukout tix from singtel and only managed to confirm two of them two days before the event. reached sentosa at 8pm to purchase our other tix and checked ourselves in.

xmas is coming!
we had our secret santa gift exchange celebrations in the office today complete with turkey and ham. there was also the announcement of the company trip happening in march - all we have to do now is vote between seoul, hk, macau or siem reap. really a no-brainer.. but seems like the regional folks want macau. i can't wait!!!
