Notes: I guess this would be considered AU since the episode shows Sara thinking about something else. I had completely forgotten about that when I started writing this. Once I remembered, I didn’t want to change what I was going for. So for clair_de_lune. Her prompt to me was ‘Sara, Sucre, and pillow. Definitely gen.’ I hope you like it. Exactly 100 words. I was going for longer but you know muses, they are pushy things.
This, she’s done before. Not the ‘removing a bullet’ part. But the working under less than sterile conditions and without all that she needs. Still she’s cool, calm. She focuses on the task at hand.
She forgets who he is and how he got here. She just wants to make him better.

It’s not the most comfortable place to be but she won’t risk moving him just yet. She adjusts his pillow, pulls the blanket up a little higher.
“Gracias,” she hears him whisper, his eyes closed.
She smiles, a hand on his forehead, sits down, watches and prays.
