So my application is going through a third round of review. I think the public health department gave me a 'Yes,' but the social work department is having second thoughts. Which is why a third person has to review my application to see if I'm really qualified to be there. As they should, I suppose. My only reasoning with them is that I got into ( Read more... )

I would email the department and say 'you know...I don't think that my application fee covers a third person to review my application, so just tell me I'm in and then I can get on with it."

At least you'll only be about 4 1/2 hours away from me. That's fantabulous...

Got my paperwork Monday...so apparently it didn't go to your house.

What program is it that you're applying for?

Are you gonna move to SD for your boy (if school doesn't work out, I mean)?

I think you'll get in...that's what my gut tells me.

I'm applying to the dual Masters in Public Health and Masters in Social Work. In three years I get an MPH and MSW.

I am going to move down to SD even if school doesn't work out because SD is where I really want to go to school. He's going to be there for awhile, so it'll work out. If I don't get in this year, I'll have to reapply for next fall.

I have a wierd feeling that I'm going to get into one department and not the other. The program is really competitive and I don't have much social work experience. But I'll hope that you're gut feeling is right!

you should let them know that you got into those other programs...it can't hurt!

I did! But it didn't seem to speed up the process anymore. It's nerve wracking, but I'm hanging in there.
