not all things dumpstered are delicious

so i thought i was getting a nice sweet nutty bread, but under the glare of the street lights and bakery employees who hadn't left work yet, i ended up with green olive bread. and while that sounds like it could be good in theory, just isn't that yummy in practice.

i'm hoping some toasting will prove it delicious.

goodnight gherkin!

ooh, the bread place on sullivan? it's a fave for dumpstering. cranberry-walnut is my favorite. it's hard to find garlic. they've also got lots and lots of rolls. it's been a while since i've been there - gotta catch it after closing and before garbage pickup...

yeah, we definitely were there right when they were closing. i feel like 8:30 to 9 is usually safe. but soooo good. usually. this olive bullshit is kinda gross.

and totally thought i was getting cranberry walnut!! so frustrating.

gretchen likes the olive loaves muchly.

the baguettes are always good.

now i've got a big huge roll-top biking backpack, so i anticipate being able to carry much more bread.
