I think FB is quite vapid and shallow.
I've tried being deep and meaningful with the staus updates. Quoting poems and lyrics that are nice and deep but they get ignored in favour of the 'oooo, doughnut' type updates. Only the shallow know themselves... O.O

I don't think it's at all natural or healthy to know so much about so many people at once.
I did a massive cull ages ago to remove the people I schooled with as tbh, that's the ONLY thing I had in common with them and I don't think it warranted showing them photos of every place I've been been in the presence of a camera and brief one liners about whether or not I'm going to have some dinner now or do a sleep.
There's a nifty option in your news feed to hear less from specific people, but tbh, I'm wavering on the idea of abandoning it altogether, as I find it just saps too much time for no real gain. I bet if I do though, I'll never be invited to a single thing again, as no one really exists anymore without being on it.
Leaving facebook would be a little like vapourising. C'est la merde.
