[Dexter opens his eyes, but stays where he is. He glances to the side, then notices Glaukir; but Dexter does nothing, expression unchanging.]
[He looks depressed.]
[Then, sardonically: There must be something about this deck.]

Ah! I beg your pardon! Sorry! I didn't hear you there!
[Glaukir steps back, one hand still on the railing and ducks his head apologetically, waving his hand in apology.]

[When he interacted with other passengers, he became instantly fake. The exchanges were always pleasant and seemingly genuine, in attempt to arouse as little suspicion on himself as possible. Dexter weaseled his way through these social situations by coming across as a nice guy, returning to his default when he thought he was alone - disgruntled, plotting... so obviously caged.]
[All the world's a stage, and Dexter? Dexter was a professional actor.]
[And all this while, Dexter was completely unaware of his patient observer.]
